This program is suitable for children with medically assessed cognitive, social and physical conditions. The Body Balance program provides an opportunity to participate in gymnastics as a means to assist with physical theory, social engagement and learning.
Children will use a wide range of equipment including balancing beams, trampolines, foam pit, rings and bars, hand held equipment (hoops, balls) and many other equipment to help assist with this program.
The types of participants include those with conditions such as,
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down Syndrome
- Autism / Aspersers
- Hearing / Vision impairment
- Brain Injuries / Neurological development
- Overweight / Poor Mobility
No previous gymnastics experience is required to participate in this program. Children must be assessed to join this program. After assessment a day and time will be given to suit the member’s social and physical development. Certain conditions may require medical clearance.
Term Fees and Charges
- Semester registration – $50 (Jan to Jun or Jul to Dec) OR Annual Registration Fee – $70 (Jan to Dec)
- 1 hour casual rate at $10 per hour.
